“Reducing chronic stress to promote health in adults: the role of social prescriptions and social movements” has been published in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine

Intelligent Health CEO and founder of the Beat the Street physical activity game Dr William Bird MBE has long been an advocate of moving more to help prevent long-term conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Society has become accustomed to using a biomedical approach in response to this. However, Dr Bird, with Giovanna Adamo, Erica Pitini, Muir Gray and Anant Jani have written an article for the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine on addressing environmental and lifestyle factors (people, purpose, place).

This article, Reducing chronic stress to promote health in adults: the role of social prescriptions and social movements by Dr William Bird MBE,  has been published in Volume 113, issue 3 of the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine.

The article will be free to access for a limited time and can be read here:  https://doi.org/10.1177/0141076819890547
