CEO and Founder of Intelligent Health — Dr William Bird — has supported the campaign to make London the world’s first National Park City.
The Greater London National Park City campaign is an initiative to make London a ‘greener, healthier and fairer place to live’. The campaign, which has received the support of the London Assembly and over 100 further organisations, aims to apply the principles of National Parks to London — a city which is home to more than 8.3 million trees and 13,000 species of wildlife.
In a video featuring notable figures including Danny Boyle, Norman Jay and Judy Ling Wong -Intelligent Health CEO, Dr William Bird, explains the powerful potential impact of London becoming a National Park City: “If we were able to connect people to nature in London and have increased access, it would have a bigger health benefit than almost any other intervention in public health.”
Intelligent Health understands the connection between contact with nature and better health. Through initiatives such as Beat the Street, Intelligent Health encourages people to explore their surroundings and connect with nature.
