Intelligent Health has been recognised for its success in improving physical activity across the UK after winning three categories at UK Active’s Flame Awards 2016.
Intelligent Health joined dozens of other leading health and physical activity organisations at the Flame Awards ceremony on Wednesday 29 June. Shortlisted for four categories, Intelligent Health ended up picking up three awards:
- Healthy Partnerships — Recognising a partnership which promotes and delivers a health outcome based initiative.
- Physical Activity Campaign of the Year – Given to a campaign which promotes active lifestyles to a particular demographic or the general population.
- Spirit of Innovation — The award celebrates innovations in the sector that support people to become more active.
UK Active’s Flame Awards are an annual celebration of innovation and excellence in physical activity. Intelligent Health had been named as finalists in three categories for its Beat the Street campaigns in Lowestoft, Reading, Dumfries & Galloway and across the UK – while Dr William Bird, CEO and founder of Intelligent Health, was also recognised for his positive impact in increasing physical activity after being shortlisted for the Spirit of Flame Award.
Speaking about winning the award, Dr William Bird said: “Intelligent Health strives to be a leader in innovation, excellence and impact in physical activity. It was an honour to be shortlisted for this year’s Flame Awards but to win three categories is incredible.
“Intelligent Health has reached over 400,000 people through Beat the Street so we are incredibly pleased to be recognised by UK Active for increasing physical activity and improving health in the UK and worldwide.”
