Intelligent Health CEO and founder Dr William Bird will be speaking at the Elevate 2016 conference at Olympia in London on 3rd and 4th May.

William, alongside Dr Rupert Woolley, clinical lead at North and West Reading Clinical Commissioning Group will be speaking on implementing physical activity into the healthcare system. The pair will talk about the commissioning of Beat the Street in Reading where the town has just begun its third Beat the Street project, funded by the two NHS CCGs and Reading Borough Council.

Elevate is the UK’s first cross-sector event bringing together academia, healthcare, government, the physical activity sector and performance experts to focus on an increasingly important and complex societal challenge: tackling physical inactivity.

William said: “The engagement of whole communities and the social nature of our projects is the focus of our Beat the Street activity programme. We believe that an active community involves caring, learning and moving to create healthy individuals with a sense of place and purpose and look forward to sharing our insights into how to achieve this.”
